Olá, vin.

Our name is a greeting — ola, a hello; vin, wine. In every winery there is a first hello: the moment juice becomes wine.

We build the systems that are there when it happens — and that stay with the wine through the cellar. In wineries meant to be visited, not just worked in.

The mark

The cat is not our mascot.

The cat on our mark is the winemaker.

  • Quiet.
  • Independent.
  • Takes instruction from no one.

Every winemaker we have ever worked with has their own way — their own habits, their own convictions, their own opinion of what their equipment should be. We drew that character in a single line and set it above our name, so we never forget who we answer to.

How we work

You cannot command a cat.

You can only build a place it chooses to stay.

That is our work in one sentence. We design wineries and the systems inside them — fermentation, transfer, thermal control — not to standardise how you make wine, but to make room for the way you already do.

We design everything we sell, and we build everything we design. Not because a factory is worth showing off — it isn't — but because a promise made on a drawing should be kept by the same hands.

Hands holding a tablet showing an Olavin square fermenter drawing, in the finished cellar that drawing became — a row of stainless steel fermenters and an access stair.

The products

Our products don't belong to us.

Look closely at any of our systems and you will find other people's ideas in them.

For years, hundreds of winemakers have told us what their equipment should do, what a cellar should feel like — a habit here, a refusal there — and the products kept changing to agree with them. What we make today is the accumulated conviction of everyone who pushed back.

We drew it, we built it, we keep its promises — but its shape belongs to them.

Olavin members

Cats don't join clubs.

And yet hundreds of them shaped everything on this site. We call them Olavin members. The next idea could be yours: bring your way of making wine, and we will draw it, build it, and pass it on. Membership starts with a hello — fitting, that's how we started, too.
